SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4.

Aug. 29 at 1:22 p.m. Officers were called to the Springfield Mall 1200 block of Baltimore Pike to investigate an assault. Four victims reported that an adult female assaulted them for no known reason using her hands and fled the mall going towards Sproul Road. Two female victims were punched in the head and a male who attempted to intervene was bitten on his finger. Det. McCarthy is investigating.

Aug. 29 at 8:44 p.m. CVS 700 block of Baltimore Pike reported the theft of razors and deodorant from the store, and the male suspect fled on foot. Responding officers located the suspect a block away and stopped him. He was identified as the thief and a 43-year-old from Philadelphia. The merchandise was recovered. The male was processed and released, and charges for Retail Theft will be filed.

Aug. 31 at 10:27 a.m. Michael’s Arts and Crafts reported two females stole items from the store and fled in a vehicle on Baltimore Pike. The same females are suspected of a similar theft which occurred on Aug. 24. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.

Sept. 1 at 12:45 p.m. The manager of CVS 300 block of Baltimore Pike reported a female stole diapers and vitamins from the store and left on foot walking on Baltimore Pike. Responding officers located the female on Baltimore Pike, and she was identified as a 37 year old from Glenolden. She was taken into custody, and the merchandise was recovered. She was later released, and charges for Retail Theft will be filed.

Sept. 3 at 3:42 p.m. A male and female stole over $200 worth of product from CVS 300 block of Baltimore Pike and left walking on Baltimore Pike. Officers located the suspects on Baltimore Pike near Bishop Avenue. They were identified, and the female was found to be the thief of the items. The male was found to have an active arrest warrant from Delaware County. Both were taken into custody. The female, Sarah Foyle, 28, was charged with Retail Theft and transported to Delaware County Prison. The male, Jason Pinketti, 42 of Broomall, was transported to the prison for the warrant.

Sept. 4 at 9:22 a.m. Shamara Lee, 48, of Philadelphia, was charged with Retail Theft after she was reported to have stolen over $375 worth of beauty product from CVS 700 block of Baltimore Pike. She was held for arraignment and later transported to Delaware County Prison.

Sept. 4 at 3:49 p.m. A shopper at Target 1200 block of Baltimore Pike reported someone had stolen her wallet from her purse as she shopped. The thief attempted to use one of the victim’s credit cards in the store but was declined. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.

Sept. 4 at 11:03 a.m. Officers were called to the Municipal Lot 100 block of Saxer Avenue for a report of several males jumping on an occupied vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim reported that several males asked for a ride which she denied. The males then surrounded the vehicle and struck it. One of the males got on the truck and walked across the vehicle damaging it with his feet. The males then left. Officers located three males fitting the descriptions of the suspects on Powell Road. All three juveniles from Drexel Hill were taken to headquarters, identified, and turned over to their parents. Charges are pending.
